Why a dad built this.
My son was the newest kid on his travel team, and the playbook kept growing. Players who'd been there a year still didn't know all of it. He wanted to know everything he needed to know, as fast as possible, so he could focus on playing ball. He wants to become a pro player, and I promised him I'd give him every resource I can to help him get there.
It's a setup most basketball parents know. You get added to the team group chat, and the coach shares a stack of videos, sometimes a whole YouTube channel: the coach at a whiteboard, drawing up each play and talking it through. They're good videos. But all you can do is watch them. You can't tap a player to see where they go, you can't quiz yourself, and they only show the one version the coach drew, not everything that could happen once the defense reacts.
I know how to build software, so I built the fix. I took the coach's videos and turned every play, and every way it could go from there, into something my son could watch, get quizzed on, and run. The coach checked it. My son learned the book.
That's Know the Plays. It started as one dad's fix for one kid. It's built so yours can do the same.
